BRAZILIAN JAZZ DOUBLE BILL - Panorama Brasil explores the dynamic musical energy of Brazilian jazz giants Hermeto Pascoal and Airto Moreira – led by guest musical director Yael Zamir (flute). Panorama join forces with brilliant guitarist Sophie Marcheff who presents The Music of Egberto Gismonti - giving voice to a lesser-known side of Gismonti’s music for an evening of repertoire drawn from his first three albums O Sonho (1969), Sonho ’70 (1970), and Orfeo Novo (1970).

From their early days together in Sambrasa Trio and the legendary Quarteto Novo, Hermeto Pascoal and Airto Moreira have been at the forefront of Brazilian jazz and improvised music. Panorama Brasil explore and re-imagine the repertoire of these two Brazilian greats, diving into interpretations of regional and folkloric rhythms, as well as samba, bossa nova, and Brazilian jazz.
